Athens Riviera
Athens Riviera is the coastal area in the southern suburbs of Athens, Greece from Piraeus to Sounio.[1] [2] It is located about 16 km (9.9 mi) from downtown Athens stretching from the southern suburbs of Athens to the southernmost point of Attica, Cape Sounio. You don't need to get on a ferry to escape the bustle of the Greek capital: take a short bus ride and you'll find superb local beaches along the sheltered Saronic Gulf stretching from the southern suburbs of Athens to the southernmost point of Attica, Cape Sounio.
In the heart of Athens
Just 10 miles south of the city –typically a 30-40 minute drive– you will find a place where urban sprawl gives way to an idyllic palm fringed setting. Take the opportunity to swim, relax at a waterfront café, walk along the picture-perfect pedestrian streets and the marinas, exercise your favourite water sport, shop in one of the area’s modern shopping centres, dine by the sea or entertain yourself in one of the coastal clubs.

The Athens Riviera enjoys a mild climate throughout the year and with a mean annual temperature of 19.4 °C (66.9 °F) it is considered the warmest area in Continental Europe.

The Riviera’s retail and social hub, Glyfada—home turf to Greek pop stars and affluent foreigners—is an essential part of the coastal scene. It’s a great place to spend your morning shopping and lunching à la mode.
